This policy sets out how India वोट Kar produces election information, how we handle political content, and how our editorial work is kept separate from our commercial business. It applies to everything published on this blog.
Sourcing
- For anything procedural, electoral roll registration, voter ID applications and corrections, polling-booth lookup, documentation requirements, the Election Commission of India is our primary source. Where a process is described, we link to the official ECI page that governs it.
- For results and candidate information, we use official ECI declarations. We do not publish projected or unofficial results as though they were final.
- Where a claim is contested or a process varies by state, we say so rather than flattening it into a single answer.
- Official processes change. Every guide carries a last-updated date, and we re-check procedural content against the ECI at least annually and after any announced change.
Political neutrality
We publish information about parties, candidates and elections. We do not endorse any party or candidate, and we do not campaign.
- Candidate and party information is presented factually, from official filings and declarations.
- Where we list candidates or parties, the ordering follows an objective rule, alphabetical, or the order used in the official source, and we state which.
- We do not accept payment to include, omit, favour or alter coverage of any party or candidate.
- Our visual design is deliberately chosen to avoid colours associated with any party.
Separation from our campaign-services business
India वोट Kar sells campaign services to political organisations. This creates an obvious potential conflict with publishing neutral election information, and we manage it explicitly:
- Editorial decisions are not made by, or on behalf of, the commercial side of the business.
- No client, current, former or prospective, receives favourable coverage, advance sight of articles, or the ability to remove content.
- Where an article explains a category of product we happen to sell, that commercial interest is disclosed in the article, and any offer is visually and textually separated from the explanatory content.
- Client identities are not used to shape coverage of the elections they contest.
Advertising and sponsored content
- Advertising, where present, is clearly distinguishable from editorial content.
- Any sponsored or paid placement is labelled as such at the top of the item. It is never presented as ordinary editorial content.
- Advertisers have no influence over editorial content, and no advance sight of it.
- Political advertising is subject to additional legal requirements in India. We do not accept political advertising that is not compliant with applicable election law and ECI directions.
Use of AI tools
We may use AI tools to assist with research, drafting, and editing. Nothing is published on the basis of AI output alone: every article is reviewed by a person against primary sources before publication, and editorial responsibility rests with a named human editor. We do not publish AI-generated claims about candidates, results or legal requirements that have not been verified against an official source.

We correct errors openly. Our process is described on the Corrections page.
